Dirty Sexy Money - Season 2 Spoilers: #202 "The Fashion Show"

In the wake of matriarch Letitia Darling's murder charges, stocks of Darling Enterprises take a plunge, while Tripp's nemesis Simon "Hungry Wolf" Elder licks his chops and begins to buy in bulk. Meanwhile, a fashion show at the Imperial reaches a dramatic climax as Letitia blacks out.

In the second episode of season 2 of ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money" titled "The Fashion Show," Darling Enterprises takes its biggest one-day fall in a decade on the NYSE, as nervous investors continue to sell off following Letitia's scandalous arrest. As the roller coaster ride continues, Simon Elder launches his takeover game.

But don't count the old fox out yet. Tripp, as one of the founding fathers of the Old Boy Network, summons his billionaire friends who share his disgust with nouveau riche tech philanthropist Simon Elder. Tripp asks his friends to do what they do best - buy, buy and buy. Can they help the Darling stock bounce back?

Meanwhile, Elder will stop at nothing. Following thus far unfulfilled promises to find Carmelita, Simon asks Patrick to arrange a meeting between him and Jeremy Darling.

Letitia, who finds it very difficult to adjust to her house arrest, takes a walk with Clark in the neighborhood of The Imperial to enjoy the fall which always reminds her of fashion shows at the Waldorf. Although the Darlings own a great deal of the adjacent property, the police take Letitia into custody again.

Following her release, Letitia decides to bring Oscar's (would that be de la Renta?) fashion show to her home. Although only 11 elderly ladies show up, Letitia feels grateful to them for being loyal friends and making her feel valuable. One of the ladies however stands up and reveals her disgust with Letitia's conduct. A shocked matriarch faints on the runway.

As Letitia seeks therapy at an eco-friendly Japanese 5-star rejuvenation center, Nick's rival and prosecutor Nola (special guest star Lucy Liu) insists that Letitia immediately be put into jail for violating her house arrest for the second time. Nick argues the Darlings own the block Letitia had been arrested on and threatens to file malicious prosecution charges. Who will prevail?

Also in this episode, Brian asks Tripp to take the company jet to Brazil. Having received a picture of Brian Jr. dressed in white altar boy robes in a box with a dead tarantula, the former minister sees a clear cry for help.

Shocking "Dirty Sexy Money" Spoilers

A member of the Darling clan is arrested and put on trial for first degree murder! Find out who it is and what else happens in the eventful first all-new episode of "Dirty Sexy Money" which goes into production the first week of May.

The episode titled "The Family Lawyer" carries production number 201, but it is actually expected to be the 4th episode of the show's 2nd season (#204), as 3 already filmed but unaired episodes from season 1 will be rolled over to the sophomore year.

Tripp (Donald Sutherland) decides to surprise his wife Letitia (Jill Clayburgh) on the day of groundbreaking of Nick's (Peter Krause) Children's Hospital and take her on a romantic trip to Venice, Italy.

Their bliss is obliterated with the arrival of the police who put Letitia Darling under arrest and charge her with murder of her lover Devlin "Dutch" George (Peter Strauss).

According to an unnamed witness, Letitia arranged the murder with the help of airplane mechanic Norman Exley, who himself had been found dead months after Dutch's plane crash.

The Darlings hire a celebrity lawyer who never lost a single case to defend Letitia (the producers may stunt-cast the role). They enter a plea of Not Guilty, but Her Honor Judge Emerson sets bail at 20 million dollars.

The Darling family banker Paulo Vova is however already in the courthouse with a briefcase containing 50 million dollars in cash, to ensure Letitia's speedy return home. The Darling matriarch spent the night in jail.

Letitia's lawyer however fails to ensure a quiet exit from the courthouse as the Darlings are mobbed by the paparazzi while using a back entrance. Letitia breaks down under the flashes of the paparazzi. Fueled by rage, Tripp fires the lawyer.

Later at the Imperial, Brian (Glenn Fitzgerald) - who had been against the hiring of the lawyer from the beginning - insists that Nick take on the case despite his reluctance to get involved. Meanwhile, Letitia remains at the Imperial under house arrest wearing an ankle bracelet.

The case against Letitia is initiated by Nola Lyons, whom the writers describe as "whip-smart overachiever with a license to thrill handed out by the Fashion Police." Nola relies on Jody, her "small male assistant."

In a separate storyline, Jeremy (Seth Gabel) who continues to work for Tripp as a valet and is believed to be dating celebutante Bitsy Calhoun ("She's my Kabbalah buddy!"), falls for a British paparazza called Verona, who keeps taking pictures of the family and in one instance calls Jeremy a "wanker."

Amid all mess, the Darlings notice Juliet (Samaire Armstrong) has disappeared. It turns out she left the US with her new boy toy Kai or as Jeremy puts it: "She's somewhere in the Indian Ocean with the virgin surgeon." Juliet leaves in the 3rd episode of season 2.

Patrick (William Baldwin) is desperate without his beloved Carmelita (Candis Cayne) who had been kidnapped by his wife Ellen (Bellamy Young). Having gotten rid of his evil spouse, Patrick manages to locate Carmelita, but after she leaves him anyway, he makes a plea for her to come back, coded into one of his TV speeches.

Finally, Karen is puzzled after overhearing Simon's conversation in Russian.

Since the producers are only prepping the episode at this time, the actual filmed storylines described above are subject to last minute rewrites and changes. The episode "The Little Boy" should air as episode 4 of season 2 of "Dirty Sexy Money" at some point in October 2008 on ABC.

Lolita Davidovich Joins "Dirty Sexy Money" (Spoilers)

Canadian actress of Serbian heritage Lolita Davidovich ("The L Word") has joined the cast of ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money" in a recurring role as Flavia Carozzi, a potential romantic interest for Donald Sutherland's character. Major spoilers ahead, after the jump.

The character will first appear in episode #112 titled "The Silent Auction" which goes into production this week. Hollywood Reporter now confirms ABC Studio will film all scripts written prior to the writters' strike.

In casting notices, Flavia is described as an elegant, sexy Director of Fund Raising at a New York children's hospital who crosses paths with Nick and Tripp. Her husband Umberto was a renowned scientist who passed away four years ago.

Flavia and Tripp know each other from 1982 when they both worked on the board of United Way.

Nick persuades Tripp to use his influence to help the hospital by organizing a silent auction and offer up for bid high-profile items such as a lavish ski trip to Gstaad or lunch with Buffet and Soros.

Realizing Flavia's growing interest in him, the Darling family patriarch remembers the day he met his wife Letitia at the races in Saratoga (the twins gave the parents a horse in celebration of their anniversary in the pilot).

He compares Letitia to a "lovely bolt of lightning" and says she really is the love of his life. Tripp bids Flavia farewell leaving her behind desperate, in tears and with creepy determination.
