Shocking "Dirty Sexy Money" Spoilers

A member of the Darling clan is arrested and put on trial for first degree murder! Find out who it is and what else happens in the eventful first all-new episode of "Dirty Sexy Money" which goes into production the first week of May.

The episode titled "The Family Lawyer" carries production number 201, but it is actually expected to be the 4th episode of the show's 2nd season (#204), as 3 already filmed but unaired episodes from season 1 will be rolled over to the sophomore year.

Tripp (Donald Sutherland) decides to surprise his wife Letitia (Jill Clayburgh) on the day of groundbreaking of Nick's (Peter Krause) Children's Hospital and take her on a romantic trip to Venice, Italy.

Their bliss is obliterated with the arrival of the police who put Letitia Darling under arrest and charge her with murder of her lover Devlin "Dutch" George (Peter Strauss).

According to an unnamed witness, Letitia arranged the murder with the help of airplane mechanic Norman Exley, who himself had been found dead months after Dutch's plane crash.

The Darlings hire a celebrity lawyer who never lost a single case to defend Letitia (the producers may stunt-cast the role). They enter a plea of Not Guilty, but Her Honor Judge Emerson sets bail at 20 million dollars.

The Darling family banker Paulo Vova is however already in the courthouse with a briefcase containing 50 million dollars in cash, to ensure Letitia's speedy return home. The Darling matriarch spent the night in jail.

Letitia's lawyer however fails to ensure a quiet exit from the courthouse as the Darlings are mobbed by the paparazzi while using a back entrance. Letitia breaks down under the flashes of the paparazzi. Fueled by rage, Tripp fires the lawyer.

Later at the Imperial, Brian (Glenn Fitzgerald) - who had been against the hiring of the lawyer from the beginning - insists that Nick take on the case despite his reluctance to get involved. Meanwhile, Letitia remains at the Imperial under house arrest wearing an ankle bracelet.

The case against Letitia is initiated by Nola Lyons, whom the writers describe as "whip-smart overachiever with a license to thrill handed out by the Fashion Police." Nola relies on Jody, her "small male assistant."

In a separate storyline, Jeremy (Seth Gabel) who continues to work for Tripp as a valet and is believed to be dating celebutante Bitsy Calhoun ("She's my Kabbalah buddy!"), falls for a British paparazza called Verona, who keeps taking pictures of the family and in one instance calls Jeremy a "wanker."

Amid all mess, the Darlings notice Juliet (Samaire Armstrong) has disappeared. It turns out she left the US with her new boy toy Kai or as Jeremy puts it: "She's somewhere in the Indian Ocean with the virgin surgeon." Juliet leaves in the 3rd episode of season 2.

Patrick (William Baldwin) is desperate without his beloved Carmelita (Candis Cayne) who had been kidnapped by his wife Ellen (Bellamy Young). Having gotten rid of his evil spouse, Patrick manages to locate Carmelita, but after she leaves him anyway, he makes a plea for her to come back, coded into one of his TV speeches.

Finally, Karen is puzzled after overhearing Simon's conversation in Russian.

Since the producers are only prepping the episode at this time, the actual filmed storylines described above are subject to last minute rewrites and changes. The episode "The Little Boy" should air as episode 4 of season 2 of "Dirty Sexy Money" at some point in October 2008 on ABC.

Sounds juicy! And nothing less than dramatic for the Darlings. This is a show with a promising cast that I hope to continue to be fabulous. I've felt the money part, "Dirty" and "Sexy" not so much yet.
